The Warren County Bar Association announced its slate of officers for 2010 – 2011. The appointments were confirmed at the Bar’s meeting on Wednesday, March 17th. The Honorable Robert Peeler has been named President of the Bar. Judge Peeler, Presiding Judge at the Warren County Common Pleas Court in Lebanon, Ohio, obtained his B.S. from Murray State and attended Chase College of Law. Other officers are Jeff Richards, Vice-President; Christopher Watkins, Secretary; and Tim Tepe, Treasurer.
Warren County Bar Gives Distinguished Award

LEBANON, OHIO: At its business meeting Wednesday, May 19, 2010, the Warren County Bar Association honored attorney William H. Kaufman by presenting him with a Distinguished Member of the Bar Award. The bar’s President, Judge Robert Peeler, gave the award.
Mr. Kaufman was born in 1943, graduated from Lebanon High School in 1961, Miami University in 1965, served in the United States Navy, and attended the Salmon P. Chase Law School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Upon graduation from Chase, he began his legal career in 1971 with Marvin E. Young and Fred E. Jones in the then law firm of Young & Jones, becoming a partner in 1976.
Mr. Kaufman has focused his practice for over thirty years on litigation, has been honored as a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates, American College of Trial Lawyers, and he enjoys the highest peer-review rating. He has served in several public and private offices as follows: prosecutor/solicitor for the City of Lebanon in the mid 1970’s; City Council for the City of Lebanon; Mayor, City of Lebanon, and Judge, Lebanon Municipal Court from 1986 to 1995, and has served as a director on the Board of Lebanon Citizens National Bank since 1982
Throughout his career, Mr. Kaufman has served on various bar associations, including the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association, and the Warren County Bar Association (past president), as well as his fellowship in the American Board of Trial Advocates and American College of Trial Lawyers. He has served as past President of the Warren County Historical Society, a director of the American Cancer Society, continues to serve in a volunteer capacity for the Countryside YMCA, and he is a member of BPOE Lodge 422, FOE Lodge 1395, American Legion Post 615, VFW, and Kiwanis.
The tireless efforts of William H. Kaufman as Judge and Attorney have exemplified the highest standards expected by his clients, the citizens of Warren County and colleagues in the Warren County Bar Association.
